A Southern California Jeebus Shuckster who was convicted of taking money from gullible, naive, Jeebustarians to do Jeebus-brand investing - into his own pockets, has received a 12 year Federal Prison term for his part in the Sheeple Fleecing Scandal in Riverside County.
The poor little lying, scheming, deceitful, manipulative preacher guy prolly figured since they were sheeple he was supposed to harvest their wooly cash and checks.
The scam worked by telling the chumps that they were investing in doing Jeebus' work, a divine pursuit, and of course naturally Jeebus would make sure they got a handsome payback, after all Jeebus is all about investments, profit, and getting rich - it's all Jeebus ever talked about.
The defendant, who ministered at the New Life Community Fellowship, was convicted in August of mail fraud and multiple counts of wire and securities fraud. His co-defendants, Arthur Simburg, 64, of Portland, Ore., and Henry Jones, 53, of Santa Monica, were convicted of similar charges.
Los Angeles-based U.S. District Judge Percy Anderson imposed the 12-year term on Jennings, and a nine-year term on Simburg, on Monday.
Jones, the mastermind of the scam, will likely be sentenced early next year, according to Pinkel, who said the defendant has changed attorneys four times since he was indicted last year.
According to court documents, Jennings and Simburg, who pleaded guilty in April, were promoters of the scam, while Jones, a former record company executive, handled most of the ill-gotten funds.
Jennings and Simburg ran Tri Energy, a Kentucky coal mining venture the defendants led investors to believe was profitable when that, in fact, was not the case, according to the government.
The purported mining venture raised more than $17 million. The men also actively promoted an investment opportunity offered via Jones' firm, Marina Investors, later renamed Global Village Records, according to court documents.
The investment entailed securing funds to facilitate the transfer of 20,000 tons of gold -- a figure that would have constituted roughly 16 percent of the world's stock of the precious metal -- an extremely unlikely scenario, according to the government.
Victims were told that if they supplied funds to cover the cost of moving the secret stash, they could realize 300 percent returns in several months, court documents show.
Hey, if somebody believes a talking snake gave the only human woman in existence bad advice on morals, ethics and educational opportunities, and they also believe that every species of animal on the planet lived within walking distance of some crazy old Jew's pet backyard mountaintop nautical project, then you can prolly tell them anything and get them to believe it since they have already demonstrated their
total lack of critical thinking skills.
I'm not justifying stealing from sheeple, it is a crime and these dirtbags deserve to go to jail. My point is that it is easy to understand why shysters target such concentrated target audiences of naive buffoons. We call this line of work the clergy.
