A petition online at the political website Change.Org is intended as a fervent request with potential threat of boycott in the hope of persuading US snack food firm Nabisco to create a seven layer rainbow oreo to support gay rights.

A Facebook photo showing a rainbow-colored Oreo cookie in support of gay Pride celebrations throughout the month has ignited a firestorm of controversy in the US this week, marking a sharp division between Christian fundamentalists and liberals, and signaling an emerging marketing trend.
The multi-colored, six-layer cookie titled, ‘Proudly support love!' was posted on Facebook this week and has become a viral sensation garnering 259,200 likes, 82,025 shares, and 48,220 comments as of June 28 -- or, what marketers would call, a PR success story.
One hitch: the product isn't actually for sale. Under the ad in fine print, reads the disclaimer, "Made with creme colors that don't exist."
But that hasn't stopped some Facebook commentators from issuing a clarion call to boycott the brand, with far-right Christian fundamentalists weighing in on the debate citing biblical verses and discussing evolution, and Oreo defenders applauding the company for the clever marketing campaign.
Apparently some Jeebustards heard about this non-existant Oreo cookie and because it did not seem hostile to gay people they naturally flipped.

Here's something much more appropriate:

I think it is from that movie.
I was going to see it but a friend (who knows I am a bit squeamish) warned me against it. I'm glad he did.

The Christian conservative group which called on JCPenney to fire Ellen DeGeneres because she is gay, has criticized a gay Oreo ad.
One Million Moms, which is closely associated with the American Family Association (AFA), on Friday criticized Kraft Foods, parent company of Nabisco, for posting an image of a rainbow themed Oreo cookie supporting Gay Pride on the brand's Facebook page.
The simple message of support includes a chocolate Oreo cookie filled with six layers of rainbow-colored icing along with the caption, “June 25 | PRIDE.”
The graphic drew more than 52,000 shares and 177,000 likes in 24 hours, sparking an online debate which translates into free adverting for Kraft Foods, which introduced America's best-selling cookie in 1912.
One Million Moms warned Kraft against making the same mistakes as JCPenney and linked the JCPenney's ongoing financial woes to its support for gay rights.
“This loss should tell companies that siding with radical homosexuals has its price. Another example is Ford Motor companies. Obviously, the company's far-Left approach is driving away shoppers and its executives. Whether JCPenney will learn from its mistakes is yet to be seen. But JCP's freefall should serve as a warning to other companies before they decide to cater to homosexuals and their sinful lifestyle choices,” the group wrote at its blog.
The group urged members to contact Kraft, saying “Supporting the homosexual agenda verses [sic] remaining neutral in the cultural war is just bad business” and warned that “If Christians cannot find corporate neutrality with Kraft they will vote with their pocketbook.”
