The BBC reports that a total of 654,000 Iraqi citizens have now died as a result of the US imperialist invasion based on a pack of lies. The Party of Jesus, the Holy Party, the Christian Coalition of the Greedy can be thanked for this shameful debacle.

When was the last time you heard an American TV newscaster talk about the number of dead Iraqis as a result of this illegal and immoral war? Was it never, not once, not on a single occasion?

Sure, the TV news talks about the price of a gallon of gas. They notice when the price of gas mysteriously drops just before an election.

The research cited by the BBC

Yeah, but, like, derr... Saddam Hussein killed a million of his own people and buried them in mass graves, so it was worth it to get rid of him. :icon_aaargh:

I don't know who's who on here, so I'm assuming you are currenly having your tongue surgically extracted from your cheek. Amnesty International was campaigning on Saddam Hussein 30 years ago, before the Iran/Iraq war. At the time he was "our bastard," so that made him OK. In that sense, he was like Hitler - an abuser of human rights in his own country, but the "powers" thought it was OK because he was the enemy of their enemy. That, of course, isn't the lesson they draw from Hitler - it's a mistake they've repeated several times since.

This is the same name I've had on EA ever since I requested it be changed, since I thought "Silencer" was too confrontational.  I thought the sarcasm was obvious enough.

Who Would Jesus Bomb?

Would Jesus? - by Doug Long

George W. Bush has said his favorite philosopher is Jesus. If that's so, then there must be some things about Jesus that I don't understand. Perhaps George could answer a few important questions for us:

"WOULD JESUS?"

George, you've done a lot of killing.
And you do it with aplomb.
Perhaps you would be willing
to say: Who would Jesus bomb?

You've killed thousands in Iraq,
And you keep on killing more.
There's some info that we lack:
Would Jesus start a war?

You knew before your war began
Your reasons wouldn't fly.
So won't you tell us if you can:
To whom would Jesus lie?

It's almost time now to adjourn,
So won't you let us court your
Opinion on this big concern:
Who would Jesus torture?

Pome: A fleshy, indehiscent fruit derived from an inferior compound ovary, consisting of a modified floral tube surrounding a core, as in an apple.*

I love pomes too. :snork_lach:

Well, Shrubby will admit to at least 30,000 Iraqis who wouldn't be dead if it weren't for him, so here's a blog post that will put 30,000 in perspective for you:

30,000 deaths are 30,000 too many
