The place where I was born and lived for over 20 years is on this map, from an article about gerrymandering on Philly.com

We used to have the same problem in Australia but now there is an independent Electoral Commission that regularly adjusts the boundaries, so gerrymandering is now a thing of the past.

Update:

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Monday struck down the state's congressional map, which was drawn to give Republicans a 13-5 majority, a ruling that could shift two or three seats to Democrats this fall.

The decision is the third in a year to strike down a state election map as a partisan gerrymander. Unlike the others, however, it cannot be easily blocked or voided by an appeal in federal court because it's based solely on the state constitution.

My first 22 years.  I had to parse that comment several times, then look at the map to confirm, but yeah. In November it will be Demoncrats kicking Rethuglicans.

The Pennsylvania Rethuglicans appealed this obviously fair decision to SCOTUS and their dishonest asses lost. Now the Tethuglican candidate who had been representing my original home district has dropped out of the race.  It seems he is a poor little baby without Rethuglican trickery.  Ha ha.

They’re trying to impeach the lower court judges. This is how Rethuglicans play: if you can’t win the game, then fire the referees.
