SCOTUS has declined to hear the appeal of a case in which a Jesus industry professional complained that the ban on torturing gay teenagers violates his fucking religion.  Lower courts found no fault in the California law.

Sounds like tough shit for his religion.

Freedom of religion is an odd concept.  It seems to include the right to harm others.

Not according to the founding fathers. (This inconvenient point of interpretation would be a problem for strict originalists if they weren't such inveterate hypocrites.)

It certainly does not include the right to use one's delusional beliefs to validate otherwise illegal discrimination.

News flash: this Thursday Tweety McThinskin plans to sign a "Religious Freedom" bill authorizing gummint employees to discriminate against homos legally in their official duties.  If this actually happens it will be a declaration of war against the LGBTQ community and it will not be ignored.  Actions have consequences.

Queers bash back.

The order he signed had 95% of the malicious crap removed. It makes no mention of teh gays and mostly just authorizes churches to meddle in politics without losing tax exemptions for not meddling in politics.

FFRF has filed a suit against the unconstitutional establishment of religions as a special class.

Tweety is fucked as usual.
