Yes, Joe, they did spell all of those listed religions correctly :)

Note that in the case of Christianity multiple sub-cults are listed. Yet in the case of Islam only one demographic is listed, while they certainly are deep divisions among Muslims about who should be killed first.  Does this reveal a subtle favoritism for Jesus brand fiction over Allah brand fiction?

You can choose to live in peace and harmony with your neighbors, or you can go to church.

Are you kidding me or what! is that really what the percentage of people who can think and reason is?  No wonder the world is so fucked up.

It’s worse than that. You know how many atheists are out there who cannot think and reason? (I met an atheist last year who is convinced that the Earth is flat. Seriously.)

Perhaps that very slender atheist slice of the pie chart only represents avowed atheists, while the 11.77% listed as "non-religious" most likely contains many undeclared atheists.  I'm defining atheist as a person without theological delusions.  After all, if a person believes in a total of zero deities are they not an atheist?

Here I must agree, a lack of theological delusions is not necessarily a marker for intelligence or worldly knowledge.

Theological delusions, that definitely has a nice ring to it.

I find it so hard to accept the fact that most religious people actually believe the entire crock of shit, I mean religion.

How can people think there is a big sky daddy watching over us. REALLY  but I can understand how it happens, brain-washed children. If we could deprogram a generation, there might be some hope.  But kids eventually realize Santa and the Easter Bunny are not real.so again.

Twice this month, people have said to me as their last parting line. "God bless you"  and one of them was my Doctor as he was leaving the examine room, he touched me on the shoulder and said "Goodbye and god bless you."  It almost ruined my day.  And then a neighbor I talk to a bit, she and her daughters and husband where driving by our house just as I was riding in on my bike and I waved to them, they slowed down in front of the house and we exchanged pleasantries and the last thing I heard from her husband as they were driving off was...E-gads! "God bless you" Mother-pus-bucket!

Oh oh oh...my new parting line is going to be "May the Force be with you" or I'll just stick with "have a good one".

You’d have a stroke if you lived in my community.

That gave me a good laugh. Yeah I'd probably blow a gasket, I'm sure I can only take so much.

These numbers take me back about thirty years.  The "experts" were estimating America's gay population at about 1%.  I don't believe any of it.
