Yes.  I share that dream.  The problem is -- what follows?  Mike Pence, in his own way, is even more scary.  For one thing, he's smarter than Trump and more subtle.  He could do more real damage.  His record is horrible.

Why be that specific?  Remember the meaning of politics.

Polly, meaning many.

Tics, meaning blood sucking insects.

I'm still a Democrat.  The party of slightly less evil.

That's why I hate politics, & politicians.

We have more choices in Canada, but I don't claim to be any of them.

It's hard to explain but I think it works like this:

"If it wasn't true, then only an idiot would believe that Trump fulfils divine prophecy - but I believe it - and I am not an idiot - so it must be true."

Sounds like Tertullian::

Crucifixus est dei filius; non pudet, quia pudendum est.
Et mortuus est dei filius; credibile [prorsus] est, quia ineptum est.
Et sepultus resurrexit; certum est, quia impossibile.

(The Son of God was crucified: I am not ashamed—because it is shameful.
The Son of God died: it is [immediately] credible—because it is silly.
He was buried, and rose again: it is certain—because it is impossible.)

—Tertullian, De carne Christi, ch. 5, 4

And Tertullian sounds like a real nutter, I imagined he is - so it is true.

Sounds like Tertullian::

Yes it does.

It is certain because it is impossible !!!

He'd be a Trump supporter for sure.

In truth.  It is difficult to argue with such reasoning.
