Quack Alert:

Doctor Oz is advocating astrology as a diagnostic aid.

Words fail.

If an idea manages to be both false and stupid it appeals more strongly to our current Washington infection.

You can choose to live in peace and harmony with your neighbors, or you can go to church.

I don't buy into anything he says, or has said.

This goes way past quackery.  Astroloy?  As a diagnostic aid?  I could ignore the snake oil herbalism.  This …….  Truly.  Words fail.

I am distrustful of any doctor who has a tv show.

I'm a Reiki practitioner.  I cringe at the idea of taking Reiki into a Cardiac surgery suite -- during the actual procedure.  So very inappropriate.  So very wrong.  I'm wondering if the man is sane.

That pales to nothing over diagnostic Astrology.

I've always thought of Dr. Oz as a medical Quacktioner giving bad/wacky advice to the desperate. And this certainly isn't helping his case with me. Sheeesh

Not everything that Dr. Oz says is crap.  He advises turmeric for various problems.  So does my Rheumatologist.  The problem is, he makes the real stuff disreputable by his support.

I think Reiki is an obvious case in point.   A lot of people are not going to trust Reiki, just because he's pushing it -- in ways that don't make sense.  Reiki has no place in cardiac surgery.  Preparation, yes.  Recovery, yes.  Not during.  That is crazy.
