Supposedly, a lot of believers, are only pretending to believe, because they want to be on the biggest side.  It follows that when the biggest side changes, a lot of pretenders will shift position, to stay in the biggest slice.  That should make for one dramatic tipping point.

I'm not really feeling it.  Then again, look what happend with marriage equality.  I never expected to live long enough to see it.  Then the tipping point was passed.

Well, maybe.  It would be a fun reality shift.  All of a sudden -- a secular majority.  The clergy would be regarded, as people with arrested emotional development.  Bibles and Korans in the mythology section of book stores.  Political candidates, fleeing from religious identification.

Why not?  I remember when smoking was cool.  Now, smoking is disgusting.  Things do change.

Love your optimism.

Only some of it is optimism.  In truth, some of it is meanness of spirit.  I would love to do some in-your-face gloating.  I have individual Bible Humpers in mind.

A lesser pleasure -- still a pleasure -- would be for Islam to take a lead over Christianity.  Suddenly, all those Fundamentalist shit heads, would see virtue in not forcing prayer into public space.
