Rahaf al-Qunun: Saudi teen granted asylum in Canada
She said she had renounced Islam, which is punishable by death in Saudi Arabia.
She had wanted to go to Australia, but the government there fiddle-farted-delayed making a decision, so Canada took her. Hope she likes the snow.

I’ll take the snow over a scimitar or a noose—or even over life in Saudi Arabia while pretending to return to Islam.  There would be no advantage to pretending; the reward would be a life of oppression under a system she doesn’t believe in, followed by non-existence, nada, finito.

Just have to hope her relatives don't come after her here......which has happened before to some of these women.
