It  seems like the higher technology becomes the less active people's brains become, nobody has to think about anything anymore, because they simply have to go to the internet for all their answers.

We are so reliant on pocket calculators, we can't even do simple math anymore, a person doesn't even have to try to remember much of anything because it's all programed into your phone or computer.

I've run into young people who can't tell time with a regular old fashion clock or watch.  And holy cow, some people running store cash registers can't even figure out how to make change without their machine telling them.

Technology is not all that great in some respects. Harumph!!

Friday mornings, I take an exercise class at my senior center.  The teacher tells us, that we outperform her classes, where the students are in their twenties and thirties.  It seems, they use their thumbs on their phones, but not their arms.

I find this alarming.  That at the age of 66, with arthritis, I'm in better shape than young people.  It seems like evolution in reverse.

I know it's not your point.  Still, do you mean intelligent life in the Universe?

I do mean intelligent life in the Universe. I don't see evidence of it on this planet.

I was pretty soft too until I had my wake up moment 5 years ago and began exercising. These young folks still have time to realize the importance of staying fit. I hope they do.

I don't think my kids could function from day to day without the electronics. As for my grandkids, they wouldn't know how to survive at home for daily living without it either.

We had to cook from scratch, sew our clothing, repairs our items, gather firewood, grow some of our foods, because we couldn't afford the ''luxury'' that is standard now. Eating out was a seldom thing too.

Be fair.  Dolphins and whales are highly intelligent.  So are elephants.  The only thing is, they lack tech.

For me, Trump's insanity is less of an issue; than the crazy people who voted for him.

They might not have been crazy. They were, however, very pissed at their decades of exploitation by the GOP Establishment who needed their votes but gave them nothing in return.

Trump at first ran against the GOP Establishment and quickly demolished their hack candidates.

BTW, I believe both major parties are about equally corrupted by their campaign donors but:

1) the Dems help more people who need help,

2) I will not vote for a party dominated by theists, and

3) I will vote Green if/when it becomes competitive.

I've said for many years that the Democrats are up to 4% less evil than the Republicans, but I agree with you completely on points 1 and 2.

On point 3 I agree with the sentiment expressed, that we need our government to go green, but I think the goal is more likely to be reached by subverting the Democratic Party with candidates who eschew corporate interests and prefer to care for the planet and its people.  I'm not suggesting this is likely to happen, but if it does I think the timing is right for it to succeed.

Even there.  First, America had to be willing to swallow it.  Advertisers had to be willing to pay for it.  Without either, Fox would fold.
