Pretend is the operative word.

Pretend is the operative word.

Just so.  Persecution didn't work.  Ridicule didn't work.  Being snide didn't work.  Now the pious have to pretend, that they care what Atheists think.

Of course, changing demographics are coincidental.      :smt077

That guy sounds pretty reasonable to me. No Christian is every Christian, they are each unique just like rational people. If the guy wants to ratchet down the hostility I'm all in favor of that.

Do atheists and believers have to be constantly at war with each other?

https://www.christia...ions/131938.htm

I'll sit down at the negotiating table when they delete these two verses from their Holy Book:

Fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds;
there is no one who does good. (Psalm 14:1)

Fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, they commit abominable acts;
there is no one who does good. (Psalm 53:1)

(I won't hold my breath)

There are worse things in the Bible.

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bowevery tongue shall swear.

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Do we need to examine the Good Book, on the subject of Gay rights and dignity?

Seems you can justify the homicide of just about anybody using that training manual for hatebots.

I'm not at war with anybody.  The Bible is another matter.

How many people have been murdered; because of "Thou shalt not permit a witch to live."

It irks me, when the apologists come up with arguments about translation errors.

The other big explanation, is that this Command only applied to the Jews, of that time.  Because God wanted them to be a Holy People.  I find that even more irritating.

I'm sure that you know the passages, that are used to murder Gay people.
