From the article:

He added that any demands by foreign countries or bodies to launch an international investigation would be "tantamount to the international community doubting the integrity of our judicial apparatus."

What sort of bubble is he living in? The international community already doubt the integrity of his country's judicial apparatus.

It's more George Orwell's 1984, than bubble.  It's an attempt to define and control reality --  Starting with defining and controlling the past.  It was not the monstrous crime that it really was.  Only an "unfortunate accident."  Anybody who remembers real history, will die or vanish.

It's the Trump approach.  Repeat the lie until people believe it.  Himler would be proud.

The accident appears to be too well planned and orchestrated to be characterized as “unfortunate.” Unless he means that it was unfortunate that they got caught?

Do you remember, how the official story kept changing?  They couldn't coordinate their lies.  Even now, to have them speak of an "accident".....  That means they stopped insisting it was a rogue operation.  I thought that was the official story.  It was, for a while.

Who brings a bone saw to an accident?  Seriously, the Turkish government insists that the dismembering began, before Khashoggi died.

The Crown Prince did make a lovely speech, about how such cruelty wasn't in their DNA.

Trump of course, being Trump, will take no actions.  After all, the $500 Billion dollar weapons deal.  All those American Jobs would be at stake.  He said as much, on television.  He actually sold America's soul, on live television.

What will Saudi Arabia do with those weapons, in Yemen?  Atrocity.  The future will curse us.

Like when they bombed that Yemeni school bus, and when challenged, insisted that schoolchildren were a legitimate military target?

They will shake their heads at us, the same way we shake our heads at what we now see as our forebears’ excessive bombing of German and Japanese cities in WWII.

Someday, our descendants will also learn about how we practically leveled northern Korea in the 1950s, and they will understand better than we why the PDRK hated us so much.

I think that what happened to Khashoggi was worse, for being up close and personal.  What does it take, to hold a living man down, while cutting off his limbs with a bone saw?  To call these crimes "moral depravity" --  is so inadequate.

Trump's demonizing of reporters came first, to pave the way.  That makes Trump a party before the fact.  His followers don't care.

Trump accepts the word of the Crown Prince in all details.  That makes Trump a party after the fact.  His followers don't care.

This is what the future will remember.  There is no living this down.  The stain is permanent.

What is the difference between Saudi Arabia and the Islamic State?  Saudi Arabia is our friend.  The Islamic State is not.  In the manner of 1984, future history may be subject to revision.

Real history does get revised.  The American Civil War is -- was -- all about States Rights and had nothing to do with slavery.  The new history text books in Texas, say so.
