Protests against -- and for -- the Jewish Pride Flag.

This is giving me a headache.  I'm having difficulty keeping track of the players and the sides.

Ignorance. Yes, the Star of David is on the Israeli flag; but the Star of David is not the Israeli flag. It seems that some people on the left have bought into the flip side of a right-wing trick: conflating support for Jewish people with support for the Israeli government.

Yes.  Ignorance combined with a lack of critical thinking.  People absorb the crazy and the stupid that's all around them -- and they don't stop to consider the source of their own thoughts.

The political left in particular, is a morass of bullshit.  They can see Western Homophobia, for what it is.  When the government of Saudi Arabia kills Gay people -- we're supposed to be sensitive to cultural issues.

These same wonderful people, can see through Catholic Antisemitism.  When it's Palestinian Antisemitism, there are cultural issues.  We must stand with the oppressed.  Like Gay Jews don't catch crap, for being Jewish and Gay.

It's a sad thing.  People try to have a big tent -- and the haters are always there, to say who can and can not join in.

A related side issue -- for the Leftists -- who say that we must side with the oppressed.  The Copts of Egypt are facing genocide.  I don't see the Left rushing to aid them.  It would mean being critical, of an Islamic group.  I also don't see the Christian Right getting involved.  They get much more heated over the war against Christmas.
