We can now acknowledge the fact that elephants are self-aware.

Does this mean they have souls? Does this mean I can be reincarnated as an elephant? Well, no to both of those questions, but it's still way cool!

I seem to recall a program I saw several years ago that said elephants actually walk on the tips of their toes! No wonder they've been portrayed so often as ballerinas!
