I didn't do it -- But I wish I did Explicit Recordings Disrupt MassAPSANTA FE, N.M. (Feb. 22) - Three CD players hidden under a cathedral's pews blared sexually explicit language in the middle of an Ash Wednesday Mass, leading a bomb squad to detonate two of the devices. Authorities determined the music players were not dangerous and kept the third one to check it for clues, said police Capt. Gary Johnson. The CD players, duct-taped to the bottoms of the pews, were set to turn on in the middle of noon Mass on Wednesday at the Roman Catholic Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. The recordings, made on store-bought blank discs, featured people using foul language and "pornographic messages," Johnson said. He would not elaborate because of the ongoing investigation. http://www.atheists....ut_i_wish_i_did

Where's the You-Tube video when you need it? Can you imagine the look on these smudge-heads when those things took off? :snork_lach:

I think calling the bomb squad to blow up a portable CD player is not over reacting at all, much, well a little. Quite a bit really.

But then, if you stop and think about it, portable CD players are so 1982!  I mean they are huge.  I much prefer an iPod Nano as it soooooo  much smaller than a portable CD player.

When I first read this, I thought it was a parody. This story makes the Boston police who detonated Mooninite advertisements look downright genius.

(The mental image of bomb squads detonating CD players is too hilarious to comprehend. :snork_lach:)

Setting off cd players during smudgefest is cool but if they would have hooked up a couple of stinkbombs to go with it . . . now that would have been genius!

Ipod nanos are too expensive to allow blowing up. CD players are $1 at garage sales now. Silly queer! :snork_lach:
