Gays in the Military
The first seriously wounded soldier in Iraq has come out of the closet and is trying to eliminate the "Don't Ask Don't tell" policy in the armed forces.
I'm not sure that, in the long term, the best solution is to allow gays and lesbians to serve in the military. The human race might get more benefit if the existing ban on queers was extended to include cross dressers, transgender individuals, bisexuals, and heterosexuals.
I say, cut to the chase and just ban all persons from joining military organizations. There really is no requirement for organizations that exist for the sole purpose of killing human beings in the name of The Glorious People's State.
As it says in the Book of Stephen, Chapter 5 verse 3: "For they shall disassemble their nukular weapons, and use all the radioactive stuff to generate electricity without producing CO2. Amen, Amen I say unto you, they shall charge their electric cars in their garages, and on Saturdays they shall worship their Prius and Honda hybrids. For it is written, No Nukes!"
