Whenever I feel a need for moral leadership, I always turn to an organization that kills people in their own country and then tortures some of the completely innocent survivors.

That's why I was glad to hear a pronouncement on morality today that was offered by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Marine Gen. Peter Pace.

"I believe homosexual acts between two individuals are immoral and that we should not condone immoral acts," Pace said.

Pace did not comment on the morality of dropping bombs from an altitude of 35,000 feet on a civilian population. He said nothing about whether it is naughty or nice to randomly imprison civilians with no charges and torture them mercilessly until they die or become boring. He did not indicate whether he approves or disapproves of the idea of invading a nearly defenseless foreign country based entirely on a pack of lies.

Gotta watch those queers though.

You know, I was reading the statement of this Marine Corps theologian very carefully, and he says that he believes gay sex is immoral "between two individuals".  I wonder what he thinks of a gay orgy like the one Mitt Romney was in in that Mor[m]on gay porn video?

I mean, if you get more than 2 individuals involved, is it OK then?

Okay. Here it goes. By a guy that spent 20 years working with and for the military as an advisor and instructor. (For those of you who don't know, that would be me.)

I have worked with men. I have worked with women. I have worked with lesbians. I have worked with gay men. I have worked with some that I wasn't sure about either way, and some who left no doubt about their sexual orientation. I worked for 20 fucking years in some of the most hideous, inhospitable, shithole, ass backward countries this old earth has produced.  I lived in conditions that cockroaches would turn down and tromped through every kind of terrain a human can traverse. I have been up to my neck in swamps and in deserts so dry and hot you hallucinate.

With bullets and body parts and fire and shit flying all about. With men being blown into hamburger and watching fire rain down from the sky. Having chemicals and acid and gasoline falling like rain and watching wildlife curl up and die because of the toxics. In these wonderful moments I heard a lot of things said. I heard grown men cry like babies and young women swear like truck drivers. I heard atheists yell out for God and Christians call God every name in the book. But there is one thing that I can honestly say I never heard anyone ask anyone else and that was "Are you a queer?"

I guess it just didn't seem real important at the time. And ya know what? It just doesn't seem important to me now.

Ungodly, it doesn't make any sense.  Pace is ignorant beyond belief.

FlatEarth, you're a very talented graphics artist. May I use this image on one of my blogs?  I promise I'd be deeply sarcastic.

I think it's great that we have so many talented people here, even though we're not exactly overflowing with posters.

Peter Puffer's a pusillanimous pig! (or should that be "prig"?)
