Steve (Ungodly) is going to take a little time off and has left the administration of ANG to FlatEarth and I. I have known Steve for quite some time now and know that he is a passionate and sincere man and that he believes in the equality of all peoples as do I.

Steve and I are probably the oddest of friends, having absolutely polar opposite backgrounds. While he was a CO during the Viet-Nam era, I was a warrior working for a government agency. While he stood up in court and refused to be drafted for moral grounds, I was teaching soldiers more effective ways of killing. Steve is homosexual and I am hetro. But somewhere, we found common ground and became good friends. It is this common ground that makes me believe, no, makes me know, that he will not abandon this forum. He is too good a man, too good a friend to us all, and too tough to let some lame ass generals uneducated personal opinion keep him down for long. His great sarcastic wit will eventually bubble up and he will spew forth and ejaculate his caustic words again with the cutting edge we have all grown to love.

But right now, he just needs a break from it all and I think that's a good thing. I assured him we will police ourselves and continue the good fight for OUR common beliefs until he returns. I am on his prefered e-mail and can contact him at any time. If any of you have something urgent you need to send to him just PM me and I will make sure he gets it.

This is OUR forum and I don't think my friend "Ungodly" would mind me saying that at all. He'll be back, I promise.

I believe it is best from Steve to do what he likes, but I still hope to talk to him soon. Where would I be if I had never met the 149-year-old man?
